5b yuan contracts signed in Qinghai brand fair

Sponsored by the Qinghai Provincial People's Government, a brand promotion fair featuring local products of the northwestern Chinese province was held in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province, on Thursday.

Fifty-one Qinghai firms signed agreements with some 130 firms from Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin and Sichuan.

Worth 5.3 billion yuan, the agreements involved national dresses and wool textiles, Tibetan carpets, agricultural and livestock products, and handicrafts characteristic of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.

To promote the brands of Qinghai, the province showcased its products in an area of 1,500 square meters in the Century Town New Exhibition and Convention Center in Chengdu yesterday.

They included food, health care products and wool textiles typical of Qinghai.
