BASF, the world's leading chemical company, is an official partner of "Germany and China – Moving Ahead Together". Its portfolio ranges from gas and oil to chemicals, agriculture products and plastics.

The company, which has been active in China for more than 120 years, first initiated the Kids' Lab in 1997. It is free of charge for children between 6 to 12 years old.

At the lab youngsters can carry out especially designed experiments, which are safe, and playfully discover the world of natural science, learn about the importance of environmental protection and discover the fun of chemistry.

"It's so interesting that I will come back tomorrow to do other four experiments," said Gao Mingze who has just come out of the BASF Kids' Lab.

BASF's main agenda is to show how its products can contribute to China's energy-efficiency regulations.

The company's solutions range from energy efficient cars and housing to environmentally friendly lifestyle products and extra safe toys for children.
