Yantai Foreign Language Cultural Festival kicks off

Updated: 2009-05-11 15:41 The opening ceremony of the first Yantai Foreign Language Cultural Festival was held on May 10 in Yantai, east China’s Shandong province. Qu Daxi from the organization committee told China Daily that the festival, which runs until June 7, provides an ample reserve of human resources in foreign languages and improves locals’ foreign language knowledge. A series of activities including foreign language song contests, foreign movie dubbing contests, Shakespearean drama plays, foreign language study seminars, Korean custom shows, English debates, etc. will be held.
