Deng Gang paints a traditional street in Changsha, Hunan province, on Sept 1, 2011. Deng, a 43-year-old artist who was raised and born in Changsha, began to paint traditional streets scenes and architecture in Changsha during the mid-1990s to preserve their memory, as traditional architecture is gradually disappearing due to developments using new architecture in the city.
