North of Tibet's capital city of Lhasa is the sacred Nam-Tso lake. The
restless turquoise waters and a backdrop of prismatic prayer flags make for one
of the U-region's most attractive sites. At an altitude of over 4000 meters,
even the lake抯 locals (pictured) have to veil themselves from the
scalding
sun.
