| The Librairie Avant-Garde -- Orient Department Store Branch opened on Nov 20, 2002. With an area of 300-square-meters and a location near an planned subway exit, the branch was planned to be the first subway bookstore in Nanjing. However, the altered subway line failed to bring enough people. The Orient Department Store Branch failed and finally ended business in 2006. |
