Zhang Wenxiu wins China women's hammar throw bronze

BEIJING - China's Zhang Wenxiu won her country a bronze medal with 74.32 meters in the women's hammer throw at the Beijing Olympic Games.

Askana Miankova of Belarus got the gold medal with an Olympic record-breaking 76.34 meters and Yipsi Moreno of Cuba took the silver with 75.20 meters.
Zhang won China's second bronze in athletics at the Games. Zhou Chunxiu obtained the first bronze in the women's marathon.
