The bureau of quality supervision in the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone has conducted an examination of special equipment in the Zone since the start of 2015, in order to eliminate hidden dangers and prevent accidents.

Officials examined 203 pieces of special equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels, elevators and cranes in schools, hotels, factories, shopping malls and communities and found 12 had hidden dangers. Relevant departments were required to solve the problems within a set time limit.

With the approach of the Spring Festival, more celebrations and activities will take place, which tend to trigger accidents; and that is why the bureau of quality supervision strengthened examination and management of public safety problems.
