The third Yunnan-Taiwan Conference was launched in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, on June 9, hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council of the PRC and the Yunnan government.

At the opening ceremony, the establishment of the Taiwan Investment Service Center (Taiwan Service Center) in the Kunming National Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone was highlighted, providing comprehensive services to Taiwan businessmen investing in Yunnan.

Lin Wenyi, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Taiwan Democratic Self-government League; Wu Boxiong, honorary cairman of the Kuomintang; Qin Guangrong, secretary of Party Committee in Yunnan Province and Li Jiheng, governor of Yunnan presided at the meeting.
