Along with tourism bureaus and companies from Shenyang, Shenyang Municipal Commission of Tourism promoted summer tourism in Chongqing, on July 31, introducing 147 summer tourism activities based on 15 themes, as well as 12 characteristic tourist routes.

The 15 themes include escaping summer heat, gourmet festival, international chorus festival, international flight convention, “Summer of Hunhe River” culture and art festival, countryside tourism festival, lotus festival, and fruit picking festival.

The 12 tourist routes recommended also had several themes, such as a tour of mysteries of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), a tour of museums, a tour of religious culture, and a tour of business.

As one of first batch of excellent tourist cities in China, Shenyang is home to 111 national A-level tourist attractions, and three world cultural heritages –– Shenyang Palace Museum, Zhaoling Tomb of the Qing Dynasty and Fuling Tomb of the Qing Dynasty.

The average temperature in Shenyang during summer is only 22 degree centigrade.
