After a three-year trial run, Liaoning Provincial Museum in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, officially opened to the public on Aug 17, with the unveiling of three exhibition halls.

The three halls contain exhibitions of ancient Chinese paintings, calligraphy, and embroidery.

A total of 85 paintings and calligraphy works are currently on display.

Ma Baojie, curator of the museum, said that the museum has 12 exhibitions open, and 70 percent of exhibits are in excellent condition.

In addition, the museum is utilizing the latest technologies to help visitors learn more about the artifacts on display.
