First established in 1908 as the Shenyang Stage Theatre, the renamed Liu Laogen Stage now serves as a platform for such comedians as Zhao Benshan to perform errenzhuan, a two-person musical folk performance popular in Northeast China.

Shameng errenzhuan of Nanfeng Grand Theatre sits on Taishan Road and sees famous actors and actresses stage songs, dances, operas and instrumental performances for visitors.

Xingguang Grand Stage mainly stages errenzhuan performances but also includes opera, song-and-dance, acrobatics and magic shows, much to the amusement of visitors.
