The main tourist attractions in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, received around 2.41 million tourists during the Labor Day holiday, representing year-on-year growth of 15.5 percent compared to the same period last year, according to Shenyang municipal commission of tourism.

Tourism revenues over the holiday hit 58.32 million yuan ($9.21 million), a year-on-year increase of 27 percent.

More than 100 spring tourism activities based on six themes, including flowers, sports and fitness, entertainment, and folk customs proved popular with tourists over the holiday.
