Supreme People’s Court President Zhou Qiang made an inspection tour of the People’s Court of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) from October 20-23.

Zhou went to the Intermediate People’s Court of the No 6 Division, and the people’s court of the Wujiaqu Reclamation Area, to check on the construction, functional development and services of the two courts, and to hear their working reports.

Xinjiang is playing an increasingly strategically important role in the overall development of the Party and the nation, Zhou pointed out, and XPCC, as an important part of Xinjiang, contributes to the long-term safety and stability of the border area.

Han Yong, commissar of XPCC, said the SPC has been consistently helping the local courts in terms of personnel, intelligence and funding. He vowed that the Party Committee of XPCC will give further impetus to the judicial reform of its courts, and firmly fight against terrorist criminals.
