Zhao Wei, general manager of Tianjin Bo Yi Film and Television Co. Ltd, was sentenced to10 months in prison with oneyear probation for offering bribes, according to the Fengtai County People’s Court in Anhui province in October.

On October 8, 2010, under the recommendation of Zhang Wenxu, vice-director for program purchasing at the General Office of Anhui TV Station, the TV channel purchased the copyright of the Big Public Bathhouse, a TV series jointly shot by Zhao’s firm and a Shanghai media firm. In return, Zhao offered 500,000 yuan to Zhang as kickbacks in 2011 and 2012.
