Shanxi University Library recently released an analysis report on the university's disciplinary competitiveness in 2020.
Last year's report saw a wide array of changes compared with the 2019 survey, tweaking subject scope, data sources and analysis methods. The 2020 document also updated data on the physics, philosophy, computer science, chemistry, environmental science and engineering disciplines and added data from the mathematics, economics, Chinese language and literature, law, management science and engineering disciplines.
The report analyzed and ranked the competitiveness of Shanxi University's 10 disciplines in five categories: performance of scientific research results, the fundamental strength of scientific research, innovation ability, international influence, and department contributions.
The disciplinary competitiveness analysis service of Shanxi University Library is an essential part of the university's goal of building strong disciplines. It aims to guide the development of disciplines and help organizers determine the strengths and weaknesses of various fields compared to other domestic and international institutions.
