Datong Gear Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, was recently included in a list of national-level international technological cooperation demonstration bases for 2017, according to information from the Ministry of Science and Technology –– the only one in Shanxi out of 38 selected groups.
Through years of innovation and structural transformation, Datong Gear Group has developed more than 300 kinds of transmissions, along with capabilities in the research and development of gearboxes, and has undertaken several international technological joint projects.
The company has formed a complete product series, filling the gap in transmission for heavy-duty domestic trucks with a high speed ratio, multiple gears, large torque and synchronizers.
The national-level international technological cooperation demonstration bases, selected by the Ministry of Science and Technology, include domestic technology parks, scientific research institutes, innovative companies and intermediary organizations for technology which have made significant achievements in conducting international technological collaboration, and have potential in development and can be taken as examples.
So far, Shanxi has 12 national-level international technological cooperation demonstration bases.
