The Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital of Changzhi introduced a robot guide on Jan 3, providing services for patients.
The 75-kilogram robot is 1.45-meters tall and is the first –– and so far the only –– robot for medical services in Shanxi province. The mobile robot can offer services such as medical consultations and guidance, directions, assessment of medical services, and health education.
Equipped with an intelligent phonetic system, the robot can give guidance and feedback according to users’ commands –– helping deliver the hospital’s reception services.
