The government of Shanxi province will enact a "green card" policy to create a more friendly and attractive working and living environment for high-level professionals.
According to the policy workers from home and abroad who meet the provincial requirements for high-level professionals, will enjoy preferential policies in accommodation, employment of spouses and schooling.
Temporary accommodation for high-level workers will be provided by employers. The provincial government also encourages subordinate administrations and companies with a high demand for skilled workers to construct their own accommodation for employees.
High-level foreign researchers can make their own decisions if they are involved in research groups, including on equipment purchasing and the management of research funds. Those whose spouses haven’t found jobs can also enjoy a short-term subsidy.
The province also facilitates application procedures for residence permits for foreign workers. The five-year certificates are available for all high-level workers, while permanent resident permits are prioritized for those in extreme demand.
