A total of 120 boxes full of bean products from Shanxi have recently been exported to the United States, marking the first time that flavored bean products from Shanxi have entered the global market.
The exports, manufactured by Zhendong Woohe Health Food Co in Changzhi city, included tofu skins and dried soybean curd.
The flavored bean products join other successful agricultural exports of Changzhi such as edible fungi, millet and noodles made from potatoes or sweet potatoes, helping expand Shanxi's agricultural exports.
Shanxi Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and Changzhi municipal agriculture commission has so far inspected 13 counties and more than 30 companies to explore further farm produce specialties that could be exported. There were three businesses added to the produce export list following the investigation.
