An exhibition of farm produce from Shanxi province will debut in Beijing on Sept 23, according to the agriculture association of Yuncheng.
Renowned farm produce from Yuncheng, Linfen and Lvliang will be particularly prominent at the Shanxi Agricultural Specialty Fair, which will cover an area of 3,000 square meters. Some 1,000 types of products from 261 companies in the three cities will be on show.
Yuncheng will offer visitors and dealers more than 400 kinds of exhibits, ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables to handicrafts, and will also promote local specialties such as apples from Wanrong county and walnuts from Yuanqu county.
To enhance the reputation of Shanxi farm produce and stimulate consumption, the province will also promote the province's agriculture-themed tourism industry and local e-commerce platforms during the event.
It's expected that the four-day exhibition will improve the market share of Shanxi farm products in Beijing and cities nearby, adding growth of local agriculture and famers' incomes.
