The Shanxi service station of the national standards documents database was set up in Shanxi on Feb 5.
The database will serve as a service station for enterprises. The enterprises can provide reliable technical support for their productions through consulting, follow-up and analyzing the corresponding national standards.
In the past, the province's enterprises had to go to Beijing or standardization research institutes in other cities if they needed to inquire about some national standards. Now, they can inquire about the standards online, according to the staff of the Shanxi Standardization Research Institute.
In addition to standards inquiry, the station covers a range of services, including standards validity verification, standards purchasing, standards translation and tailored standard documents products.
The Shanxi Standardization Research Institute will invest 10 million yuan ($1.60 million) per year to the database's updating, in order to offer more efficient, simple and updated information services related to national standards.
