During the Shanxi provincial cultural relics protection conference on Feb 20, Daixian county was given the honor of "Shanxi advanced cultural relics protection county".
During recent years, the Daixian county Party committee and county government has been paying much attention to cultural relics protection work, actively applying for cultural relics protection funds. It had completed the renovation and expansion of the Ayu King Tower, Buddha Tower in Hongji Temple, and Wen Temple, and also finished renovation projects at the Gateway at the western part of Daizhou Ancient Town, and the Northwest turret of the west city wall of Daizhou Ancient Town.
Statistics show that the key cultural relics Daixian county renovated and maintained during the recent years were valued at more than 52 million yuan.
Daixian county is a national-level historical and cultural ancient county, and it owns 444 cultural relics and historic sites, with four under national-level protection.
