Sheshan Sheshan Tourist Resort hosted a hiking activity on Jan 1 to celebrate the New Year. More than 4,000 people participated in this year's event.

After thirteen consecutive years the event has developed into one of the most influential brand festival activities in Songjiang district and has become a local tradition to ring in the New Year.

For this year's hiking event, participants also had the chance to make postcards for friends, gain an e-certificate and take part in drawing on T-shirt activities with their families.

In addition, participants were able to get a souvenir card to commemorate their day of climbing and were entitled to discounts for eight scenic spots in Sheshan on New Year's Day, including Shanghai Happy Valley, Cheshan Botanical Garden and Sheshan National Forest Park.
