A youth innovation and entrepreneurship alliance was inaugurated in Shanghai on Aug 23, aiming to offer help to young startups in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region.

The alliance will focus on gathering young people with creative ideas and entrepreneurial dreams in 30 cities across the region and offer a series of services to help them start up a business.

A service platform will be established comprising a youth startup project library, a team of startup mentors, as well as a base for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Many activities, including youth entrepreneurship summits and training camps, will be held to enhance services.

The alliance will speed up the pooling of resources and push forward mass innovation and entrepreneurship in the YRD region, said Wu Youjian, chairman of Yanshang Group, a sponsor of the alliance.

During the inauguration ceremony, the first entrepreneurship training camp was also announced. Some 40 young entrepreneurs will attend the four-day camp and will be led under the guidance of industry experts and top entrepreneurs.
