The ground-breaking ceremony of the China-Dandong 1 project was held in Emerald Bay on Oct 19.
Dai Yulin, secretary of the Dandong Municipal Party Committee, and other government leaders attended the ceremony, Dandong Daily reported.
The project was signed in July when Dandong attracted investment in Shanghai. With an area of 132,000 square meters and total investment of 2 billion yuan ($320 million), the project includes lakeside villas, high-end residential houses and supporting commercial facilities.
The Dandong 1 project is the fifth project boasting an investment of more than 1 billion yuan this year in Zhenxing district, Dandong.
