The new history museum of the Dandong Glorious Institute opened on Aug 31 in Dandong in Northeast China's Liaoning province.
Built with a donation of 357,000 yuan ($56,000) from the Dandong branch of Dalian Bank, the museum displays the battles of servicemen in pictures, written materials and items. Veteran souvenir badges and certificates of merit have also been collected in the museum.
The museum is a new patriotism education base in the city and is free for the public.
