10. Blueberry
The town of Wulongbei, near Dandong, is famous for its hot springs, agricultural sightseeing, ecology, and 3,000 mu of blueberries and nearly 1000 mu of blueberry greenhouses. The town has cultivated a number of fine varieties and ranks first in the province in blueberry quality and output.
The blueberries are blue, delicate, pleasantly sweet and sour, fragrant, and have small seeds. They weigh 0.5~2.5 g on average and 5 g at most and have an edibility rate of 100 percent.
Blueberries are rich in nutrients and contain large amounts of zinc, calcium, iron, copper and vitamins. They are also good for preventing aging, enhancing cardiac function, resisting cancer, softening blood vessels and promoting immunity.
