Jilin displays its culture in Canada

Jilin province celebrated the 30th anniversary of friendship with the Canadian province of Saskatchewan with an Across the Pacific Ocean ? Jilin Culture Week in the city of Regina, the provincial capital, starting on Sept 4, with celebrations and various activities.
There were also artists from Saskatchewan on hand at the culture week to give anniversary performances and extend best wishes for friendship between China and Canada, along with the Chinese activities that included a Beautiful Changbai Mountain Photographic Show, and a national musical instrument exhibition, as well as performances with Chinese musical instruments that attracted a lot of spectators.
This year's was hosted by the Jilin Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Jilin Culture Department and Information Office, the Saskatchewan Inter-governmental Affairs Dept and University of Regina.
Jilin signed the friendship protocol with Saskatchewan, back in 1984, to signify the friendship between the two provinces and, since that time they have maintained good communications and cooperation in agriculture, culture, art, education, energy, forestry, and medicine.
