The opening ceremony to launch the first batch of fiber optic broadband demonstration villages in Zhangjiagang was held at Zhagnjiagang Guomao Hotel on Dec 14.

Twelve villages in Zhangjiagang such as Changjiang village, Gaoqiao village, Ligang village, and Anqing village awere awarded with the title of “fiber optic demonstration village”.

Zhangjiagang mobile started broadband construction?since 2009 and made efforts to update and increase the coverage of the wireless broadband.

Zhangjiagang government focused on broadband construction in rural and urban area and expanded the coverage of fiber optics. Up to date, the city has realized the basic coverage of wireless broadband where the coverage rate of countries reach 75 percent and the average speed of mobile broadband users?have gone?up to 46M.
