The government of Nantong, Jiangsu province plans to invest 200 million yuan ($31.98 million) in water control projects in 2015.
The investment will be used to reinforce river and coastal dams, ensure water supply and improve wetland environments.
Last year, the city government’s entire expenditure on such projects was 2.58 billion yuan, 112 percent of the amount originally planned.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
