Local Suzhou brand crabs including Yangcheng Lake and Shajiabang brands are competing to be listed as famous Suzhou crab brands.

The competition, which is being held for the second year, began at the Yangcheng Lake modern agriculture industrial park of Xiangcheng district in Suzhou of Jiangsu province on September 20, 2013.

The output of river crabs in Suzhou accounts for a large part of the total in China. The quality has been improved and some brands of crabs are becoming famous. It requires crab raisers to be more competitive in the market.

The second Suzhou famous crab brands list includes three parts – famous crabs, crab products and crab raisers. The top 10 Suzhou crab brands, top 10 crab shops and top 10 crab raisers will be announced after the competition at the end of October.
