Inner Mongolia developing 'green medicine' tourism

The Health and Family Planning Commission of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region says it wants to push the idea of "green medicine" and the region's traditional Chinese medicine for disease prevention, so it plans to combine its TCM and health services with tourism and create a health and tourism brand.

Inner Mongolia says that its TCM is expected to retain its natural and "green" nature and advantages and that this year it will promote its trade in TCM and use of its unique geothermal advantages for health care, sports, and leisure, and its tourism products such as mineral mud beauty care, natural oxygen bar, spas, medicated baths, and sand treatment.

A bullet train departed Hohhot East Railway Station for Ulanqab marking the start of high-speed rail services using Inner Mongolia’s first newly-laid high-speed railway on Aug 3.
