Xingsha to have 100-ton gold processing base

A gold processing base is all set to launch in Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone, which will be capable of producing 100 metric tons of gold products by 2025.
Hunan Gold Corporation Limited, Changsha Economic and Technical Development Group and Zhejiang Huang Jin Bao Investment Company signed a deal on April 18 to build the "100-ton gold deep processing and processing trade project" in the zone, which is located in Xingsha, the industrial center of Changsha county.
With combined investments of 1.5 billion yuan ($232 million), construction of the project will start in July 2016. The gold processing base is scheduled to go into operation in March 2017. It is expected to achieve an annual output of 50 tons of gold and trade volume of $5 billion by 2020.
The base will fill the gaps of Hunan province in the fields of gold deep processing and processing trade.
Changsha seeks to revive porcelain production
In recent years, the local government has sought to revive the region's long tradition in porcelain making and boost local industry with the cultural influence of ancient Tongguan kilns, which have a history of 1,200 years.
