Liouesso Hydropower Project undertaken by CGGC praised by the Congolese government

Recently, the Management Committee for Territorial Management and Large Projects of the Republic of Congo inspected the construction site of the Liouesso Hydropower of Congo-Brazzaville undertaken by CGGC and spoke highly of the contractual performance of the project of CGGC.
Liouesso Hydropower Station is located at Sangha area in the north of Congo-Brazzaville, 85 kilometers away from Ouesso, the capital of the Sangha area.
The project is mainly involved in power generation, with the aim of satisfying the power demands of the cities in the northern regions of Congo. The retaining works of the project is made of concrete face rock-fill dam with the total installed capacity of 19.2 megawatts. On May 18, 2012, the president of the Republic of Congo laid a foundation for the project in person.
