Chinese film star Chen Kun and Subaru China Inc, a Japanese car manufacturer, together donated money to build a Hope Primary School in Daye, Hubei province, earlier this month.
Staff from Subaru China and about 40 invited Subaru car owners presented books and stationery to local primary students. Subaru will focus its corporate social responsibility on helping young students in China's distressed areas, said Qi Weiqiang, director of the marketing department of Subaru China.
