Henan Aokang Commerce and Trade Co invested 15 million yuan ($2.42 million) to build a Chinese rose demonstration garden in Henan's Qiling township in the end of 2012.
The demonstration garden boasts over 95,000 plants, including 30,000 Chinese roses and other kinds of flowers and trees.
Maintaining its original land usage, the demonstration garden has provided more employment opportunities for local residents. Upon completion of construction and seedling cultivation, the demonstration garden will provide more high-quality flower seedlings.
"The demonstration garden is still in its initial construction phase and more seedlings are on the way. Several professional gardeners will arrive at the garden in a short time. We hope that the planting area will reach about 130,000 square meters," said Li Tiegang, deputy manager of Henan Aokang Commerce and Trade.
