The Association for the Advancement of Development in Old Revolutionary Base Areas in Henan province and Henan province's health department launched a pilot project to spread general health knowledge in Ruzhou. The project will be later promoted in the whole province.
People in the old revolutionary base areas have received about 5,000 copies of material entitled, “Key information for a healthy lifestyle” and 200 five-piece sets of utensils for a healthier life (500ml cooking oil pot, 2g salt spoon, 6g salt spoon, 40g salt box, waist circumference measurement tape). Four lectures have been given in four townships in the old revolutionary base areas, with more than 200 narrators trained and more than 20,000 people in the townships covered.
The activity aims to spread knowledge and keep local people informed on how to lead a healthy lifestyle while providing them with the steps to break damaging habits.
