Wi-Fi facilities will cover most scenic areas in Anshun, Southwest China's Guizhou province, by May 31, according to the organizing committee of the 10th Guizhou Tourism Development Conference.

The Wi-Fi coverage action is a major part of the Anshun government's "Intelligent Tourism" plan. It will cover scenic areas including the Tunbao scenic area, Jiuzhou Ancient Town and the Tianlong Tunbao scenic area.

Anshun is a prefecture-level city of Guizhou province near Huangguoshu Waterfall, the tallest in China. It boasts Tunbao culture. Tunbao refers to places where troops were stationed to guard the frontier after putting down riots during their southern expedition to Guizhou in the Hongwu Reign (1368–1398) of the Ming Dynasty. The locals have stuck to their traditional customs since then. They still wear clothes from the Ming Dynasty, and their houses are also from that era.
