A key big data project of Southeast China's Guizhou province, jointed applied by China General Technology Research Institute and Beijing Jing'anjia New Technology Center Co Ltd, was recently approved by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), while receiving 2.43 million yuan ($354,000) in funding.
Led by Guizhou Provincial Key Laboratory of Public Big Data, the project specializes in the sharing and application of block data, and is of great importance to the development of Guizhou's big data industry in the new era of block data.
Block data describes massive amounts of information from different sectors that is processed to drive different sectors, for example for improved efficiency in government management.
According to the Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Department, this is the first time Guizhou's big data project has received NSFC funding.
