Statistics from the Environmental Protection Department of Guizhou province show that Air Quality Index (AQI) readings for January in Xingyi city, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, ranked the best in the province.
According to the official report, the air quality for three out of Guizhou’s nine major cities—Xingyi, Duyun and An’shu—was good or excellent for every single day throughout January.
The report is based on SO2, NO2, CO, O3, PM10 and PM 2.5 readings in air.
Around 84 percent of the days in January showed good air quality in Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, according to statistics from the report.
