City shows off ethnic diversity with cultural heritage display

The city of Kaili in Guizhou province showcased its intangible cultural heritages to the public on June 12 to mark the 11th National Cultural Heritage Day.

Thanks to its multi-ethnic population, the city is home to 18 intangible cultural heritage items, varying from ethnic costumes and handcrafts, to musical instruments and dances.

The inheritors of each heritage showed off their talents and skills by making ornaments and embroidery works on the day. Dances and singing performances were also put on to give visitors of a taste of ethnic culture.
