The State Council approved Gui'an free trade zone project on January 12, which is the second free trade zone in Guizhou province.
According to the official reply from the State Council, Gui'an free trade zone covers 2.2 square kilometers, ranging from the Xinzhai village in the east to the Qianzhong avenue in the north.
In compliance with the requirement from the State Council, Gui'an free trade zone will pay attentions to electronic information, high-end equipment manufacturing, energy preservation and environment protection, biological medicine, and modern service industry.
Gui'an free trade zone will promote the development of Guizhou and expand its influence to southwest China and the world by developing it a crucial economic platform in inland China.
