The Mainstream Media of Southeast Asia in Guizhou activity kicked off in Guiyang on May 13. The activity aims at helping members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations learn more about China.
Reporters from different media outlets in Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Indonesia visited the Miao town of Qiandongnan prefecture, the Dalong Economic Development Zone of Tongren and several other areas in Guizhou to experience the folk art and economic and social development in Guizhou.
In addition, the reporters interviewed Guizhou government officials, experts and scholars to learn more about the development of rural areas and China overall.
