The first State-level Guiyang International Eco-Forum, themed "Promoting Conservation Culture, Green Revolution and Transformation" will open this July.
Zhao Kezhi, the Guizhou provincial Party secretary, announced the news at the Guizhou delegation's press conference during the first session of the 12th National People's Congress in Beijing on March 12.
The forum will be the only State-approved event in the field of ecological civilization.
Zhao said,"Through the forum, Guizhou will strengthen its international communication capabilities and will further expand the scope of opened-up areas."
Preparatory work is currently in progress.
