An inspection delegation headed by You Quan,Party chief of Fujian provincial government, paid a visit to Pingtan on May 9.

In order to get up to speed on how the city's latest development projects are progressing, the delegation carried out field trips to Pingtan Xiehe Hospital and Cross-Straits Express Delivery Center.

With an investment of 1.2 billion yuan, the Pingtan Xiehe Hospital is the first grade-three hospital—the highest level of China's three-tier grading system for public hospitals—in Pingtan, and is expected to be put into use in June.
