The medical care center for Taiwan residents will be the first of its kind to be opened on the Chinese mainland.

The center contains a raft of facilities, including an emergency department, clinics for Taiwan residents, a VIP experience zone, operating department, supply center and delivery room. It is equipped with 309 beds and some 130 wards for Taiwan residents and VIP patients.

According to Kang Yunfa, director of the hospital construction project, the construction and equipment installation for the hospital are now complete and the center will be ready for the final inspection in April.
