The Fujian Ship Detection Center was officially set up in Pingtan county on Aug 13.

The center is responsible for examing ships, maritime facilities and ship equipment.

“The center will attract more ships to return to Fujian for registration, and boost marine transportation in Fujian,” said an employee at the center.
