The fruits, about 2 tons, include popular summer choices, such as mango, pineapple and guava. A vendor said he will continue to import more varieties including wax apple, sugar apple and papaya.

All 107 boxes of Irwin mangoes, about 500 kilograms, sold out in just two days, according to the vendor.

Taiwan’s mangoes are known for their larger size and tasty flavor. The price at the commodity store was about 28 yuan, which is about half of those sold on the Internet.
