An inspection team, headed by Jia Ke, director of the Fujian Food and Drug Administration, visited Pingtan county on Sept 24, to discuss policy making regarding imported Taiwan food, medicine, and medical equipment.

The visiting team and Pingtan officials considered various preferential policies to attract Taiwan enterprises specializing in the production of pharmaceuticals, health supplements, cosmetics as well as medical equipment. They also discussed a mutually acceptable mechanism for drug inspections.

The administration is responsible for boosting Pingtan's pharmaceutical industry and offering support in all areas.
